Wellbeing
At Quakers Hill East Public School, student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We believe students learn best when they feel safe, supported, respected and connected. Our goal is to create a positive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
We work in partnership with families to support the wellbeing of all students and to ensure every child feels valued as a member of our school community.
PAX at QHEPS
At QHEPS, we proudly implement the PAX Good Behaviour Game across our classrooms to support positive behaviour, teamwork and student wellbeing.
PAX stands for Peace, Productivity, Health and Happiness. Through this evidence-based approach, students learn the skills needed to create calm, respectful and successful learning environments where everyone can succeed.
The PAX Good Behaviour Game helps students build self-regulation, cooperation and positive relationships while promoting a strong sense of belonging within the classroom and across the school.
What does PAX look like at QHEPS?
-
Teamwork and Cooperation
Students work together in teams to encourage and support one another in making positive choices. This helps build responsibility, collaboration and a strong classroom community.
-
Clear Expectations
Teachers and students work together to create shared expectations for learning and behaviour. This gives students a clear understanding of what helps classrooms feel safe, calm and productive.
-
Positive Reinforcement
PAX focuses on recognising positive behaviours such as kindness, respect, responsibility and cooperation. Students are encouraged and celebrated for making positive choices each day.
-
Granny Wacky Prizes
Students enjoy engaging and fun “Granny Wacky Prizes” as short celebrations for working together successfully. These quick rewards help keep learning environments positive, motivating and enjoyable.
-
Building Life Skills
Through PAX, students develop important social and emotional skills including communication, resilience, empathy, problem-solving and conflict resolution.
By embedding PAX practices across our school, QHEPS continues to strengthen a culture where students feel connected, supported and ready to learn.
