Learning in 'The Nest'

The Nest is Quakers Hill East Public School's support unit, an inclusive learning environment where every student is valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.

The Nest caters for students with additional needs from Kindergarten to Year 6 across three classes: Lorikeet, Kookaburra and Eagle. Each class is led by a dedicated class teacher and School Learning Support Officer (SLSO), working together to deliver individualised programs aligned with the NSW Department of Education's curriculum frameworks and evidence-based practices.

In The Nest, we believe that belonging is the foundation of learning. Our students are an integral part of the Quakers Hill East community, participating in whole-school events, assemblies, sport and celebrations alongside their peers. We work closely with families, specialist staff and the broader school team to ensure every child experiences connection, growth and joy in their learning journey.

Our staff are committed to building trusting relationships, fostering independence and creating a safe and nurturing space where students can thrive - socially, emotionally and academically.

We welcome you to come and get to know The Nest, a place where wings grow and our students soar!
