QHEPS - Artwork Design

In March 2025 our Aboriginal students attended a workshop through the Junior AECG (Aboriginal Education Consultative Group). The workshop was hosted by Dalmarri (https://dalmarri.com.au/) at Doonside Technology HS and there were about 20 local schools in total in attendance.

Students were given a template canvas and were encouraged to use school colours to paint symbols and stories reflecting our school community.

The artwork beautifully illustrates the essence of partnerships and community, showcasing symbols intertwined with vibrant circles. Each represents a unique individual, yet together they form a strong, supportive network. Rich colours and intricate patterns symbolise the diverse contributions each person brings to the collective. The flowing lines connect the figures, highlighting the importance of collaboration and shared purpose. This piece celebrates the strength found in unity and the power of working together towards common goals.
